‘Tri Kingdom Come’ We had a great crowd travel to Tralee for this race, but unfortunately when an incident meant there would not be sufficient medical cover. A tough call, but safety should always be the priority.
LOUGHREA SPRINT (NS) Megan Halvey raced the morning session in the Youths 12-13 triathlon. It was a blustery afternoon in Loughrea for the National Series sprint race excellently run by Predator TC. Kathryn Fahy led off the bike, but was caught on the run finishing a fantastic 3rd overall . Sinead Walsh was 15th for AG 1st , with Eimear Laffan taking AG 2nd. Super racing from Roisin Doran, Jade Murphy, Lorna Fenton and Niamh Laffan. On the men’s side, Ronan Costelloe was 6th for AG 2nd. Well done to Declan Forde, Darragh Nicholas, Nigel Mann, Elmer Abestellas & Dan Shanahan.
Tri Lakes Sprint: Well done to Mike Clancy, Thiago Silva, Angela Robertson, Dan Shanahan, ClIona McCathy and Gavan Manifold on a super mornings racing at the TriLakes Sprint. Angela finished in 5th overall, picking up another Age Group prize. A super event by all accounts, with fantastic hospitality from Trilakes TC
Carrick on Suir Sprint – Congratulations to Margaret Hayes who completed her first sprint triathlon at Carrick on Suir Sprint. Margaret had traveled to Fenit the previous weekend, and with the event halted, got a swim in. With this confidence behind her, she quickly found another race to do.

IRONMAN Tallinn – Huge congratulations to Michael O’Flaherty on his IM Estonia finishThis is Michael’s third IM finish of 2024 having completed IM New Zealand in March and IM Lanzarote in May
‘Jailbreak Triathlon’. Well done to Thiago Silva, Jonathan O’Connell and Nigel O’Brien, who all managed to escape from Spike Island and complete the Olympic distance Tri.
Hazelwood Olympic, Sligo (NS) – It was wet and windy in Sligo well done to Róisín Doran & Sinéad Walsh .
