This year the LTC Duathlon will take place on Sunday March 22nd 2020. The event will be based at the newly developed Maguires pitches on the grounds of the University of Limerick. New venue this year which includes a riverbank run and a fast bike route.

A limited number of entries will be available on the day of the race at registration from 8:00 – 8:50AM.

Is there parking on site?
Yes. There is secure parking close to the transition/start area.
Insurance?
You need to have a TI license or a purchase a one day licence for €15. You can do this on race day or on line at https://www.triathlonireland.com/Get-Involved/One-Day-Membership/
Is this an elite race?
While there will be strong competitors this is also a nice entry level event for anyone interested in triathlon. Lovely one to start off your triathlon season.
What’s the route like?

Are the roads closed?
No but there will be a Garda presence, Red Cross, lead motorbike and loads of marshals. Be nice to the marshals, they’re there for your safety.
Can I sign up on the morning?
Yes. It makes organising the event so much easier if you register on-line. If you choose to sign up on the morning, please try to do so before well before the 10am cut-off.
Can I help out?
Absolutely – we are a club run event and rely on volunteers to help us out. You can watch the action. Volunteers should email [email protected]
Is this event chip timed?
Yes.
A duathlon is a race that involves cycling and running in the format of run, cycle then run again and is a perfect introduction to multisport and is as competitive as you want it to be.
