A duathlon is a race that involves cycling and running in the format of run, cycle then run again and is a perfect introduction to multisport and is as competitive as you want it to be. This year the LTC Duathlon will take place on Sunday March 10th 2019.
The event will be based at Limerick and Clare Educational Training Board Centre (formerly St Enda’s School), Kilmalock Road, Limerick, V94 Y6H3

A limited number of entries will be available 09.00-10.00am on the day of the race.
Transition open 09.00-10.10am
Race briefing 10.15am
Event starts at 10:30am.
Prize-giving & Refreshments 13.00hrs in School Canteen.
Is there parking on site?
Yes. There is secure parking close to the transition/start area.
Is it really only €20?
You need to have a TI license or a purchase a one day licence for €15. You can do this on race day or on line at https://www.triathlonireland.com/Participation/One-Day-Membership/
Is this an elite race?
While there will be strong competitors this is also a nice entry level event for anyone interested in triathlon. Lovely one to start off your triathlon season.

Are the roads closed?
No but there will be a Garda presence, Red Cross, lead motorbike and loads of marshals. Be nice to the marshals, they’re there for your safety.
Can I sign up on the morning?
Yes. It makes organising the event so much easier if you register on-line. If you choose to sign up on the morning, please try to do so before well before the 10am cut-off.

Absolutely – we are a club run event and rely on volunteers to help us out. You can watch the action. Volunteers should email firstname.lastname@example.org

We are no strangers to this type of race, in 2011 Limerick Triathlon Club organised the European Duathlon Championships, on the streets of Limerick City. It was a huge success.
