Last weekend’s Joey Hannan Triathlon was the second race in our LTC Fly Shannon Member’s League.
Luke Lyons scored maximum points in the Olympic event with Alan Glover and Paul O’Connell taking the remaining podium places. Conor O’Dea and Barry John Keating picked up bonus points in their respective Age groups. There were some great performances from some of the LTC members and they were rewarded with 2 bonus points for completing the Olympic distance.

In the Olympic distance Murna Griffin O’Malley claimed a podium spot and maximum points for the race followed by Aoibhe Reidy and Angela Phelan. Niamh Yelverton continued her good form from last year racking up some valuable age group bonus points. Great races by Marcella O’Neill & Oorla Cusack were rewarded with 8 points for completing the Olympic distance.

In the Sprint distance Kathryn Fahy had a great race to claim an overall podium spot and was the first LTC lady home taking the top points followed by Alex Stewart and Marguerita Mc Carthy who continued their excellent form from Nenagh Sprint.

The next race in the league is Carlow on the 20th of May and the other race this month is Lough Cutra Olympic on the 27th of May – there are plenty of opportunities to get your name on the board or add to your tally.
