What a great race today, with a record turnout we had 220 entrants for today’s FlyShannon Duathlon.
Almost all athletes finished just before the major downpour. The Field was very strong, 5 times Irish Cycling champion Siobhan Horgan showed true form and had a powerful win. While Geraldine Gill took Second place with Limericks Rachel Clancy in third.
First male home is a recent GoTri member, and student in U.L. Barney McCullagh. Originally from Omagh Barney is one to watch this season. Rumour has it that this was Barney’s first ever win, we thank him for sharing this with us. Well done also to Paddy Quinn second place with Alan Kenny in third
Join us to celebrate your race tonight in Michael Flannerys bar Denmark Street at 6pm – Burgers, Beer and “slaps on the Back” all round.
Many thanks to the many sponsors, volunteers, athletes and Supporters. Thanks also to our tireless Race director and Race secretary. Results and More Photos to follow.
