Weekend round up – September 30th

What a weekend to finish the season!

Huge congratulations to our Ironman in Barcelona – PB’s, true grit and deserved rewards for the long hours and hard work. Dermot Hanrahan had the fastest swim split, Nick O’Dwyer the fastest bike and John O’Sullivan the quickest run. Unfortunately Brendan Keane was unable to finish after being knocked over at an aid station on the bike he has broken a collarbone – we wish him a speedy recovery.

Back at home braving the rain in Youghal, Stephen Ryan, Pat O’Brien, Finn O’Boyle and Sinead Walsh all finished the Moby Dick NS Sprint race – the water was warmer than the air and it was a bumpy swim! Well done to Michelle O’Sullivan took on the Great Fjord swim in Killary.

So thats a wrap – the 2017 season has come to a close – another epic year for Limerick Triathlon club.

Don’t forget we will be holding our awards and prize night in conjunction with the AGM on October 20th.
