There are only a few races left as we get towards the end of the season! One of the biggest of the season Dublin City Triathlon, took place on Sunday, with Super Series, Sprint, Olympic & Aquabike events all taking place in the river Liffey & Pheonix park. Ross Higgins lined out in the Super series and was 13th in a field of 35 finishers dominated by juniors.
Racing her very first Olympic distance, Shóna Keane came form 50th out of the water to post the second fastest bike and run splits of the day, to come home second in this prestigious National Series event. Congratulations Shóna – we look forward to seeing what 2018 brings. The race was won by Sinead Jennings Lynch, fresh from her victory at the IM Dublin 70.3. Niamh Yelverton also had a great race posting a PB and earning 3rd in her Age Group. Also racing were Ivan Yelverton, Michael Ryan and Sinéad Walsh.
At the NRG Salthill Sprint in Galway, well done to Tom O’Donnell, who won his AG yet again!
