Well done to all our Club members at Hell of the West 2016 – a challenging but rewarding day. First LTC man home was Ross Higgins in 30th in a time of 2:19, followed by Diarmaid Lane in 2:23 and Dave Beary in 2:25.
Carolyn Hayes was the first LTC lady in Second overall in a time of 2:20, with 6th overall for Kirsten Huysamen in 2:30 and third LTC Lisa Horgan in 2:35.
We were well represented in the Age group prizes, with Gary Guinane, Dave Beary, Liam Liddy, Aoibhe Reidy, Murna Griffin O’Malley and Ali Guinane all featuring in their Age groups.
Narrowly missing out on the AG, Noel Guinane finished his 30th HoTW in 2:59:59 and Catherine Corby also did a milestone 10th consecutive HoTW.
As many of you know Joan Griffin came off her bike on Saturday – thanks to those who stopped to help especially Roisin, Pat and Eidin. She is being well cared for in Limerick and we wish her a speedy recovery.
Alexandra Cremona completed the epic Celtman extreme triathlon in 19:20:02 earning the coveted Blue T-shirt – we look forward to hearing all about that one.
Congratulations to Andrea Cullen who won her Age group at Challenge Galway Half in 5:48:46 and to Darragh Kelly, who came home in 5:28:27 in his first outing at the distance.
In the Full Challenge distance Garron Mosely was 5th overall in 10:15:21 (53/5:48/3:19) and our newest Iron distance finishers are:
