Congratulations to Conor O’Dea, who along with 23 other cyclists completed a cycle from Malin to Mizen over 5 days last week.
This was no ordinary cycle – Conor sustained a serious spinal injury in 2018 when training for an Ironman event and spent 18 months in rehabilitation hospitals. He has continued his rehabilitation at home since then. Challenged Athletes Foundation provided a trike to Conor to enable him get back to cycling and complete this challenge. Conor chose CAF and DSL as beneficiaries for his fundraising for this event. To date the M2M team have raised over €83,000 for both charities.
From Limerick TC, Conor was joined by Eugene Keane, Marcella O’Neill, Dave Beary, John Deegan, Ivan Yelverton, Dave O’Rahilly, Billy Quinn, Richard Roche, Caroline Roche & Eileen Dillon. The logistics and support were provided by Dave Beary, Mark Kennedy and Ken Crowley.
For anyone who is lucky enough to know Conor they will know how determined and motivated he is and he wants that figure to reach €100,000.
Donations can still be made at the following links for either or both charities.
