Mallorca 312: well done to Ed Fahy and Ger Benson who completed on this epic sportive –
IM Texas – Congratulations to Garron Mosley who posted a smoking 8:41:51 in Texas. He is modestly playing down the bike split (4:22:32) as it was 2-3 km short, but a 55:44 swim and a run of 3:16:04 are fast by anyone standards. Garron has already qualified for the IM World championships in Kona in October.
Marbella IM 70.3 – Well done to Ross Higgins who came home in a super 5:04 (20:59/ 2:58/ 1:38). Unfortunately, it was a DNF for Alan Gleeson.
Well done to everyone at Joey. As well as a second place for Murna Griffin O’Malley in the Olympic, and 3rd in Sprint for Kathryn Fahy, the girls featured well in the Age group prizes in both distances. Bryan Nolan in 11th was our fastest Male in the Sprint and Luke Lyons, also in 11th was our fastest Olympic finisher. We had lots of first timers, members stepping up distances, and plenty of PB’s so well done to all. A great start to the season.
Of special note in the sprint, among the many happy finishers were our own Michael Griffin and Tom O’Donnell, who first completed a triathlon together in 1984 – some 34 years ago and still going strong. Mick took the AG prize this year.
Thanks to Gordon Thomson for capturing the day – a full gallery is available on the TI page here
