Congratulations to Michael Collins who completed his first IM 70.3 in Cascais, Lisbon coming home in 7:04:54 (43:27/3:27:27/2:38:57)
Closer to home well done to the many members we had racing at the Glin Triathlon on a challenging afternoon! Lisa Horgan came home in second place, with newish member Ronan Costelloe went one better than at the Worlds End Tri and took 3rd place. The team of Niamh Carey, Stephen Bourke and Dan Shanahan took the relay prize. Full results are here
At the Ocean Lava-Hardman in Olympic distance in Killarney, Murna Griffin took another win coming home in 2:36:34, with husband Tadgh O’Malley just behind her to come home in 15th. Paul O’Connell was just ahead with 14th place and Gerry McIntyre was 44th.
If you are looking for an end of season challenge, the Sean O’Sullivan Swim takes place in Kilalloe on Saturday – choice of distances 1.5/3/5km
Not forgetting the Pieta 100 cycle, also on Sunday and the Shannon Airport Charity cycle on Saturday
