Well done to all who braved the elements and a water temperature of 11°C to cross Kilkee bay this afternoon. Conditions were challenging particularly leaving Byrne’s Cove and one could feel the sence of achievement by swimmers on completion. Thanks to LTC members who supported the event on shore and provided cover in the water. Special thanks to Vanessa Keane from Kilkee Sub Aqua Club and her fellow kayakers/jet skiers, Frank Ryan and to Kevin Ryan who travelled down from Limerick to provide boat cover. Without their help we could not have held the event. A total of €110 was raised for Kilkee Sub Aqua Search and Rescue which will be matched by Limerick Triathlon Club.
