Wednesday night turbo sessions will begin on October 19, from 7-8:30pm in Milford National School Community Hall. and run through December 14 (9 weeks in total). Required equipment includes bike, turbo trainer and heart rate monitor. Tri bars or TT bike are recommended if you will use them during race season. Triathlon Ireland membership is also required for insurance purposes.
During the first session, a 20 minute Functional Threshold Heart Rate (FTHR) or Functional Threshold Power (FTP) test will be performed. This information can be used to personalise sessions to your individual plans for the season, whether that is your first sprint distance race or a full Ironman!
These sessions will be targeted for triathletes of all abilities and will build on each other. If you register for the block of sessions and cannot make one, the session will be emailed to you so you can complete it on your own.
Cost to members is 70 euro for the 9-week block. An option is also available to attend the first session on October 19 (for a cost of 8 euro) and decide whether you would like to commit to the full block. See you there!
