Attached is the breakdown of the points allocated to members in the Fly Shannon League 2016 after Race 5 – Boruman in Killaloe. There was an excellent turnout by club members and overall there was fantastic times by all members. Well done to all members involved.
Male:
The top four remain the same in the male section while Dermot Hayes has moved up to fifth. Paul Corcoran, Jimmy Hofler and Richard Roche all move into the Top 10 placings.
Female:
In the female section, Angela Roberstons brief stint at the top has come to an end as Elaine Yelverton takes the lead. Aoibhe Reidy moves into third after an excellent race in Killaloe.
We still have quite a distance to go in the Fly Shannon Members League 2016 and placings are sure to change over the coming weeks.
Race 6:
Our next race is one of our own on Saturday 25th June at the Hell of the West Triathlon in Kilkee. Being one of Ireland’s toughest triathlons it is favourite of many athletes. Best of luck to the organisers, marshals, volunteers and any members taking part. A league update will be posted shortly after the event.
Scoring:
Members are awarded 8 points for Marshaling (Duathlon, Joey & HOTW) and then for each race in the series there are 6 points on offer for participation, 5, 4,3 for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd LTC members home respectively, and then 2 points for an AG win relative to your fellow members.
