There was plenty of racing last weekend – even if conditions were not ideal!
On Saturday Christy Power and Mick Garry took on Ennis Duathlon. The 2016 Triathlon season also got underway– well done to Domhnall Roche and Ed Fahy who raced/ braved Tri Laois .
The Plassey 10k took place on cold, wet and windy Sunday – well done to Rachel Clancy, 2nd lady home and all the others who braved it.
Racing in better conditions, club member Garron Mosely has booked his place in Kona 2016 with a fantastic 19th place finish at IM South Africa – Finishing time 9:05 (1:02:25/4:47:58/3:08:58).
Spare a thought for Feargal, Ger and Chris who would probably love some water as they are into Day 2 of the Marathon des Sables http://www.marathondessables.com/en/
This week we have the North Tipp Sprint on Saturday, the first NS race of the season as well as the Intervarsity race, run by our friends at Nenagh TC – good luck to Maeve and co with that. Sunday is of course our own Joey Hannan race – let’s hope for the weather – fingers crossed the long-term looks Ok.
