After a break for many of us, its time to get back to doing what we enjoy and the Coaching team led by Lynne Algar, have been busy putting together some new sessions and trying to improve existing ones. Full details and time table here on the ‘Training’ tab of the Club website.
Back for the Winter months, our Turbo session led by super cyclist Vinny Gleeson returns on next Wednesday October 8th, moving to a new location of Multisport Hall in the PESS building, UL. This session aims to build a solid aerobic base throughout the off and in-season periods of training. Speed work and lactate levels are kept to a minimum. Expect to be riding for up to 60minutes. The session is proceeded by a stretch and core session with Lynne Algar to help mobilise joints and strengthen muscles fundamental to the demands of cycling. All levels of ability welcome. If you don’t have a Turbo, but would like to give the session a try, please get in touch and we can organise a loan of one for the session. Further details will be sent out and published early next week.
In November we will be starting a new Run Technique session on Thursdays with Athletics Coach and Tutor, Kevin Grant.
