The Ironman World Championships in Kona is legendary in triathlon circles. It is considered the most grueling one day endurance race in the world, 3.8km swim, 180km bike followed by a full marathon. Six Irish Triathletes pulled out sub ten hour finishes this year, Limerick born, LTC member Ivan O’Gorman was one of these completing the race in 9:23. Ivan is living in Boulder Colorado now with his wife Anne-Marie and little girl Evie Mai. Well done to Ivan from all the Limerick Triathlon Club.
