Weekend Results
It was a perfect weekend for swim, bike and run, and there was a host of events taking place.
- Anthony Egan ran a super 22:54 at the Shannon Airport 5KM Runway run – no sign of IM those legs!
- Nenagh TC’s Lough Derg Sprint on Saturday morning drew the most LTC athletes. Well done to Ross Higgins who took second place in a super 1:01:25 and Alex Stewart was the second fastest Female in 1:14. Richard Chapman was 5th in 1:03:37, and Nick O’Dwyer 14th. Alan Buckley’s 27:54 bike split was the fastest of the day, but he did not run.
- At the NS Westport Triathlon well done to Greg Baxter, Shóna Keane and Eidín Cleary. Shóna came home in 1:10:19 for 5th with another AG prize, not sure if they were in the same wave, but Greg was just 4 sec ahead. Elisa O’Donavon completed the Valentia Triathlon
- Well done to Eamon Hanley in the tropical heat at IM70.3 Staffordshire who finished in 5:25:52(40:40/2:48:54/5:25:52)
Okay so all the warm up now done –the big one next weekend, see you in Kilkee – lets hope the weather holds!
