Weekend round-up
Weekend results round up:
- At the Sprint Distance National championships in Derry, Kirsten Husyamen was our sole representative, coming home in 8th place in a wet and windy draft legal format. Heather Foley & Chris Mintern took the National Championship titles
- Well done to John Deegan who travelled to Tri an Mhi Olympic and was rewarded with a very fine 20th position in 2:25.
- Pádraig O’Sullivan took on the Dingle Adventure race and came home in 5th overall in the Sport distance.
- Representing Bilboa AC Paul Clancy ran the Portumna Forest 50Km
- At the Munster Cycling Time Trials Nick O’Dwyer finished 3rd and Dave Beary 6th in the Masters 50+ category
- Congratulations to Ian Moore on completed Challenge Venice (Full distance) in a time of 13:29, after some mechanical issues. Darragh Moore also participated as part of a relay team, pictured here with Nenagh TC’s Ramon Rodriquez, top lane morning swimmer)
- The Escape from Alcatratz was not to be for Rory Keating & Sean Hanley who travelled to this notoriously difficult event, but the weather conditions meant the swim portion was cancelled and the course modified to an 18mile bike and 8 mile run.
Next weekend there are a host of races happening, with Nenagh TC’s Lough Derg Sprint closest to home on Saturday (entry still available via Triathlon Ireland website)
