This weekend saw the first open water triathlon of the 2017 season, with Racing 795’s sprint in Carlow, Diarmaid Lane, Micheal Ryan, Philip Manuel, Shóna Keane, Paddy Rowsome and Fergal O’Connor all taking part. In this NS event Diarmaid came home in 20th over all in 1:09 and Shóna was 6th lady in 1:16. Great going guys!
Further afield at Mallorca IM70.3 well done to Rory Keating (5:34) and Gerry MacIntyre (5:59). Unfortunately Nick O’Dwyer DNF.
Monday – Open water swimming at O’Briens Bridge, we should have bouys in and Mark Dempsey will be on hand to coach.In the water for 1845
Wednesday – mid week spin continues for the Hub Ennis Rd at 1800, or if you fancy testing yourself, Round 2 of our 20km Time Trial starts at 1815. Sign on is from 1800, with 2 times and a Marshall night combining for the prizes, but you can still take part even if you just want to do one night. Fun & refreshments provided.
Next weekend sees Catherine Corby, Paul O’Connell and Anthony Egan line out at Ironman Lanzarote – safe travels guys – all the work is done so enjoy!
