The race starts promptly at 0930.
Race Format and Distances
Limerick Duathlon follows the classic run, bike, run format:
- Run 1: 4.6 km — road and riverside paths around UL’s Maguire’s Pitches
- Bike: 19 km — fast, flat out-and-back on the R506 towards Murroe village
- Run 2: 4.0 km — final run back to the finish
Detailed maps and route information will be published ahead of race day.
A duathlon replaces the swim leg of a triathlon with an opening run, making it an excellent introduction to multisport racing.
