Last night was the first session of the combined Turbo and Strength set run in Mary I. The location is perfect with ample parking and a fantastic modern spacious hall. It was a great evenings training starting off with an excellent turbo session. Vinnie started off explaining why we will be doing the sets he has laid out for us over the coming months and the benefits we will see as the weeks progress. He went into detail on why we were doing base training at this time of year and the benefits we will see later in the year for having done it. No question went unanswered and it was a very interactive session.
This Saturday October 5th, we will begin a series of cycles which will be a shorter distance and at a more leisurely pace than the traditional Union Cross and Parkway groups. We hope everyone is enjoying their end of season break……… Monday night swimming in UL is starting back on 30th September. Turbo and Strength & Conditioning combined session will be starting Wednesdays and a Leisure paced cycle on Saturdays which will include coffee stops. More details to follow.
