Joey Hannan – Thank you

To All members & Friends of LTC

After a two-year hiatus and as the dust settles on yet another hugely successful Joey Hannan triathlon, I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who contributed to make it a success. This is a club run by its members who give up huge amounts of their own time to ensure that our events like this run smoothly. We did come close to calling it off due to the lack of marshals, but the members came through in the end.

Big shout out to our race director Richard Chapman and race secretary Ross Higgins who have done trojan work for months leading up to the event.

To all our lead marshals Eugene Keane for the swim John O Sullivan for the run, Derek Tobin for the bike. And Al Le Gear for transition we hugely appreciate your effort.

To all those who helped setting up the course including but not confined to .

Richard Chapman, Sean Guinane, Derek Tobin, Ed Fahy, Philip Manuel, Sinead Walsh, Helen Hartigan, Edel Foster, Mark Kennedy, Tommy O’Brien, John O Sullivan and Lar Cleary

For those that helped taking it down again and putting it away till next year it’s not an easy task but many hands make light work.

Finally, a special thanks to all club members who fulfilled marshal duties. It is a long day but without you the event could not run and hopefully today’s sunshine made the task a bit easier.

I’m sure I might have missed some names but just wanted to give my thanks as club chair to all those who have helped.
