Congratulations to everyone who participated and contributed this years Joey Hannan race – there was a sea of blue & white on display, with a fantastic buzz and great performances from first timers to podium placers, and everyone in between.

Limerick TC Round up:
In the Olympic distance Ross Higgins led out of the water in 20:46, with Luke Lyons 12 sec back . The LTC lads were under pressure on the bike, but Luke came home in a well-deserved 3rd place on this his first venture into this distance. Ross Higgins who also acted a Race Secretary, finished in 5th, with Stephen Cuneen in 14th. On the women’s side Lisa Horgan had the fastest swim split (23:44) and also finished with a well-deserved 3rd place finish. Shona Keane fought back from the swim to come home on 4th, with Eimear Laffan and Dairine Cross also making the top 10.
Also In the Olympic well done to Noel Keane, Adrian O’Brien, Alan Glover, Liam Liddy, Nole Higgins, Paul O’Connell, John Gleeson, Paul Corcoran, Mike Quinlivan, Angela, Robertson, Bob McNamara, Roisin Doran, Ian Moore, Patrick Anderson, Keith O’Halloran, Ollie Foley, Evan, O’Sullivan Glynn, Oorla Cusack, Eduardo Alexandre Queiroz,
In the Sprint distance Colm Turner made up ground on the young bucks to take 3rd place (Darren Dunne of Nenagh TC took the win, with Sabian Kulczyski in 2nd). Shane Larkin was 12th, Mark Connolly in 20th pipping John Deegan by 2 seconds.
The Womens race was also dominated by juniors, but Hilkka Kontro’s run speed brought to a fatntastic 2nd place. Murna Griffin O’Malley, coming back from injury took 5th and rookie Catriona Farrell took a fantastic 6th
