Park Run Winter League
What is the Winter League?
The Winter League is a season-long ParkRun challenge in which participants earn points for each week’s run and additional bonus points for the biggest improvers. It’s open to all who run at UL ParkRun (or any participating ParkRun).
How to Register & Record Your Runs
- Fill out your details and submit your time via the form:
https://form.jotform.com/healthperformance/runleague - For each run, submit:
- Full name
- ParkRun location
- Your finish time (format: minutes.seconds)
- Date
- Screenshot of your result
- Confirm submission is accurate and corresponds to an official ParkRun result.
Points System
- 1 point is awarded for each ParkRun completed during the Winter League period.
- Bonus points for the top improvers each week (i.e. those who reduce their time the most compared to their previous best):
- 1st improver: +4 points
- 2nd improver: +3 points
- 3rd improver: +2 points
(If there are ties or special cases, organisers will adjudicate fairly.)
Example
- If you run 8 ParkRuns during the league, you’ll earn 8 base points, plus any bonus points for being among the top improvers in those weeks.
- If in Week 3 you are the top improver, you gain 1 base point + 4 bonus = 5 points for that week.
Duration & Eligibility
- The league starts 27th September
- Only officially recorded ParkRun times are valid
Leaderboard & Prizes
- A running leaderboard will be maintained and shared weekly
- At the end of the season, top scorers will receive recognition/prizes
- Emphasis on fun, personal improvement, and consistency
Notes & Fair Play
- Always ensure your time submissions are honest and verifiable, no double entries.
- If a time appears inconsistent or lacks verification, organisers may exclude it
- The bonus for improvement is relative to each runner’s past best (baseline)
- In the first week, no bonus improvement points are given (baseline being established)
