LTC Ironman Spring Challenge 2021

Published by Communications on

To break the monotony of training alone as a result of Covid 19 restrictions the club decided to challenge its members to complete a full ironman or half ironman distance over a two-week period from Monday 5th to Sunday 14th of April. We had a total of 20 hardy athletes who completed the task with 12 finishing the full distance and 8 finishing the half distance. There were a few brave souls who even managed a swim (brrrrrrrr!!!). After 2 weeks there was an impressive distance of over 5,000 km’s cycled and 1,000 km’s ran. That’s a lot of 5k loops and a lot of hours on Zwift!!. It was all aimed to provide some much-needed incentive to get out and train during lockdown and the good weather was a bonus

There was also a draw for from club goodies and we had 3 lucky winners from those who completed the challenge. The lucky winners were:

Roisin Doran

Bernard Loughlin

Sean Goggin

The club will be in contact to get your sizes and arrange collection for your club merch.
