Can you complete a Half or Full Ironman in one OR two weeks? LTC is kicking off the season with a bang with this virtual challenge!! The goal is to complete the half or full distance over two weeks so it doesn’t matter how long it takes as long as you finish the distance between Monday 5th of April to Sunday 18th of April. The event is intended to be a bit of fun and to set your own personal goal.
The plan is to complete total distance over two weeks in whatever order that suits (run, bike only), no swim required (brrrrrr!!!)
All distances completed must be completed in line with current government Covid-19 guidelines i.e. within your 5k radius and socially distant.
Each member should consider their current fitness levels before deciding which event to choose. The half distance is a good opportunity for someone new to endurance events looking to step up their training whereas the full distance might suit those who are more experienced. Members can decide to complete the run/cycle distances in whatever order they wish as long as the full distance is achieved. There is also a relay option. Teams max of 3 people. The distances can be split anyway the team chooses as long as the full distance is completed.
PRIZES
All members are welcome to participate. Those who complete the challenge (half or full) will be entered into a draw for some LTC goodies. There will also be a prize for the best social media post around your training so make sure to tag @limericktriathlonclub with your progress.
