Our AGM & awards night is taking place on Friday the 15th November in the Castletroy Park Hotel, we intend to start at 7.30pm sharp. As a valued member of Limerick Triathlon Club we as a committee would appreciate your attendance and feedback on the night.
The agenda will be a recap on the 2018 minutes and a report of the clubs activities and finances for 2019. The plan for the club moving into 2020 will be outlined and your feedback is welcome here. The 2020 committee will be detailed and we aren’t a club that blindly nominates people into committee positions without prior warning, so rest assures nobody will be pushed into a committee position they don’t want.
All positions on the committee are taken for 2020 with the exception of us needing a race director for the Joey Hannan race. This position would suit an organised person who is a good delegator and is comfortable with taking on the responsibility for the safety of the athletes. There is a lot of experience and support within the current committee and we would appreciate a volunteer who wants to get involved and support their club in this vital role. If you are interested in joining the committee in this position please let one of us know.
In the interest of being fair I have agreed to stay on as Chairman for another year, but if anybody feels they would like to take over please let me or a committee member know and this can be brought up on the night. If it is something that interests you and you feel you would like to take over in a year, but would like to join us in order to replace me in a years’ time, again let us know and all the help would be welcome.
The evening will conclude with our awards night, there are several awards being given, these include both the Club and Munster league winners, the time trial series winners. the rookies of the year, the Ironman of the year, the club athlete of the year and the club person.
We expect the evening to last about 2 hours depending on questions and discussions during the night and of course we will all be visiting the bar for a few well deserved and welcome drinks before the real winter training kicks in.
We do hope you can join us and look forward to seeing you all on the night.
Regards,
Richard and the LTC committee.
