Rosie Clarke was 4th, Eimear Laffan 7th, Roisin Doran, Caoimhe Maguire, Sharon Lawlor and Elisa O’Donavon. On the mens side Colm Turner took 2nd place in 1:00:57, with Luke Lyons 5th, Bryan Nolan 10th & Alan Glover 11th. Also racing were Dan Shanahan, John Deegan, Shane Cullinane, Alan Buckley, Mike Quinlivan, Sean Hanley, Finbar Aherne, Ivan Yelverton, Mick Griffin & Jimmy Shanahan Well done to Mai Burke-Hayes in the Try distance
IM DunLaoghaire 70.3 – Huge congratulations to our finishers at IM70.3 Dun Laoghraire – a choppy swim followed by a windy, hilly & technical bike course. Pádraig O’Sullivan was fastest LTC man in 5:24:08, with Nick O’Dwyer not far behind in 5:36:18. Well done to Seamus Monahan, Gerry McIntryre, Brian Condell, Keith McInerney, Lar Cleary, Martin O’Connell & Anthony Egan. We had a number of DNS (a combination of Injuries and the match!) Unfortunatley Johnn Culleton did not finish. Brenda Cosgrove put in lots of work training for this her first HIM, but it wasn’t to be – she stayed with a cyclist who came off his bike and waited for an Ambulance to arrive – sacrificing her own race. True sportsmanship.
Try the Hook – well done to Ruth Power
