Fly Shannon Members League – Rounds 8 & 9
LTC League after round 8 & 9 Tribesmen Sprint/Olympic & I-Tri Ennis Sprint
Ladies League
With no ladies entering the Tribesmen Sprint or Olympic races our attention turned to I-Tri Sprint in Ennis. Murna Griffin O Malley was back in action after her exploits in Ironman Frankfurt. Murna showed no sign of tired legs and stormed home to finish 2nd lady overall and was the first LTC lady home to take top points. She was followed by Audrey O Dwyer & Sharon Lawlor for the 2nd and 3rd spots. Elisa O Donovan picked up 2 age group bonus points.
Aoibhe Reidy still sits at the top of the league followed closely by Murna Griffin O Malley. Both ladies have completed 3 races to date to it’s still all to play for. Mary Ryan, Sinead Walsh & Alex Stewart are hot on their heels in 3rd place and have all completed three races so far.

Men’s League
Padraig O Sullivan had a great race in Galway in the Tribesmen Olympic distance to finish 4th overall and post the fastest bike split of the day. LTC’s other representative in the Olympic distance was Ger Benson. Padraig and Ger picked up 13 and 12 points respectively. Next up was I-Tri in Ennis and there were seven LTC members who racked up points. Neil Foley was first home followed by John Deegan and Ed Fahy who scored 11, 10 & 9 points in that order. Richard Roche, Nigel O Brien, Steve Gleeson & Jimmy Shanahan also added to their points tally
Bryan Nolan keeps his top spot in the men’s league but is being chased down by Ed Fahy in second. Both have 5 races completed but can still improve on their places with more podium finishes. Richard Roche and Dermot Hanrahan are in third spot.
