In advance of this months Hell of the West, on Saturday last we had a course recce and training day with club member, coach and former winner Aaron O’Brien. Aaron put the group though there paces sharing his in sights on the event and preparing the gang for this tough swim, bike and run.
Well done to all who braved the elements and a water temperature of 11°C to cross Kilkee bay this afternoon. Conditions were challenging particularly leaving Byrne’s Cove and one could feel the sence of achievement by swimmers on completion.
