We have confirmed the Savoy Hotel for our 2017 AGM. The meeting will kick off at 7.30 pm.
We will review the activities of the past year and discuss the races and events that were held during the course of the season. We will briefly discuss the results from the recent Members Survey and give out awards to recognize individual performances.
There are a number of roles on the committee that need to be filled for 2018 including Chairperson, Treasurer and Training Coordinator and we would hope that those interested will put their name forward at the AGM (or before then by emailing email@example.com or any member of the committee). There are also opportunities for those who are happy to take on a specific activity (e.g. Coordinate Club Gear, Update Fly Shannon Club League, Arrange Mixed Relay race etc. ) or organize a club event (e.g. weekend away, social event, beginners night etc.) without wishing to take a more active role on the committee. To continue to develop the club, we need more people to take on small roles. Without your help, many of the events you would like to see just won’t happen. If you would like to learn more about any committee role prior to the AGM, please contact any member of the current committee in confidence.
The AGM is an opportunity for all members to provide your feedback on what worked and what you would like to see in the coming season. You will not be roped into a job if you attend! Let’s use it as a rare opportunity to get as many of us into one room as possible and talk about what we want our club to be in the coming year.
