Attached is the breakdown of the points allocated to members in the Fly Shannon League 2016 after Race 8 – Ennis i-Tri Sprint in Clare. A limited number of members took part picking up some crucial league points as a result. Well done to all members involved.
As we are now up to race 7 the scoring is readjusted to show athletes top 5 results only.
Our leader is unchanged as Richard Chapman leads the pack followed closely by Diarmuid Lane. Dan Shanahan remains in 3rd, Ed Fahy moves into 6th Place and Dermot Hanrahan jumps to 10th after a great performance.
In the female section, Angela Roberstson remains in the top spot with Elaine Yelverton in 2nd. Roisin Doran was the big mover rising to 9th after a great performance in Ennis.
With only 3 races left in the Fly Shannon Members League 2016 we should soon know who will be taking home the prizes come September.
Our next race takes us to Tralee which will host the Landers Sponsors Tri Kingdom Come Triathlon 2016. The Sprint comprises of a 750m swim, 20km cycle and 5km run, all taking place along the stunning Wild Atlantic Way. This is a nice flat course and perfect for athletes trying to better their times or beginners looking for an easy course for their first triathlon! There is quite a bit of interest from club members for this so we could see changes in the league table come Saturday evening. Best of luck to all members entering this race and a league update will be posted shortly after the event.
Members are awarded 8 points for Marshaling (Duathlon, Joey & HOTW) and then for each race in the series there are 6 points on offer for participation, 5, 4,3 for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd LTC members home respectively, and then 2 points for an AG win relative to your fellow members.
